American designed and Taiwanese built, this 40 footer packs a lot in. She is very nicely designed with a roomy raised saloon, two generous cabins and a great galley layout. She is a comfortable yacht to sail and sail handling is so simple. A new engine in 2014 and may other features make this such a reliable prospect.

In 2015 'Viva Layla' underwent a good hull job in Penang. Succesive layers of old antifoul were taken right back and the hull prepared anew, new primer etc. A new stern tube was also installed.

The yacht is offered with a large and valuable inventory... Two folding bikes, diving bottles, jackets and regulators, a spare anchor windlass, numerous filters, hand held depth sounder and many other treats.

Moving forward and down a small level, the galley is a good design, sink countertop insert and oven countertop giving excellent working space. Two burner gas stove and oven, fridge and an ENGEL freezer in saloon. Pressurised hot and cold water plus foot pumped fresh and salt water.

The guest double is opposite and owner's cabin full forward.

Fitout is heavy on good solid teaks and remains in good condition. Lighting is generous, with some red lights for night sailing and courtesy lights in cabin sole steps. There is abundant storage on this yacht, the saloon can stow gear under the sole, behind sette backs, drawers and lockers.
