If quality, comfort, reputation and sea keeping ability rank highly on your priority list, then the Passport 40 should also be close to the top of your cruising boat wish list.
The Passport 40 was designed by world renowned naval architect Rebert Perry. She was designed to be a safe and highly capable blue-water cruising boat. You will find Passport 40's in anchorages all over the world and many of them have circumnavigated the globe.
The quality of these boats is most evident when you step down the companion way. The interior is beautifully handcrafted from solid Burmese Teak. Sitting down below the interior has a very warm, welcoming and homely feel. The attention to detail is impeccable and the interior design offers loads of storage options with numerous draws and cupboards with louvre doors. You will not find anything remotely close to this in a modern production boat.
The huge galley is one of the highlights of this design. It has plenty of storage with five draws and numerous cupboards. A slide out chopping board, dual stainless sinks, a three burner stove with oven, and an under bench fridge with top and front access.
Wayfarer has two private double cabins. The head has a very practical layout and features a completely separate shower stall. The huge dining table breaks down to provide excellent engine access from above, and on three side.
'Wayfarer' was originally purchased by her first owner at the 1985 Sydney boat show. In the same year she also featured in an article in Sailboat Test magazine.
With a simple sloop rig she is easily handled by a couple. The cockpit is very well protected with a solid hard dodger.
