Ready to cruise! Malaprop is a solid GRP production yacht built in the UK in 1972 designed by Peter Brett and powered by a Yanmar 3YM30 with 414 hours. She is the sistership of Wild Rival which won on handicap the OSTAR in 1976. The skipper of Wild Rival, Geoffrey Hales, said recently that she was and still is a great cruising boat and passage maker. Malaprop won the 2 handed division in the 1979 AZAB race and was sailed out here in the early 80s. She is a very solidly built boat with beautiful lines and a fully encapsulated lead keel. She has 200 watt solar panels, a Waeco CFX 50 litre fridge, 2 burner Origio metho stove on gimbals, over 200 litre water capacity in freshly lined fibreglass tank over the keel and a 50 litre flexible tank as well. She has a hard dodger. Must sell and owner is negotiable on price.
