Presentation

Babe is a much loved, spacious and well cared for boat. She has been used mostly for Sydney Harbour day sails, with occcaisonal overnight forays to Pittwater and Sydney Surrounds. She is a very capable boat, quite comfortable with more than ample freeboard for coastal cruising. With all lines leading directly back to the cockpit, she is a very easy shorthand or solo sailer, with an overlapping headsail on Furlex furler and main with two reefs.

She also has an opening transom for ease of boarding from tender a feature usually only seen on much larger boats.
The six step folding 'Dixon' stainless swim ladder on gunwhale mounts makes water exit easy and secure after taking a dip.

I bought Babe six years ago from her second owner as my entry to sailing. Six years on and I'm addicted: a fantastic well laid out easy to sail boat.
Babe is a great boat to get out and around Sydney with zero fuss. I have regularly taken trips to Pittwater and Port Hacking for short Weekend Getaways; and there's nothing better than escaping from the city on Babe for a quiet, serene trip away.
I am now looking for a bigger boat to accomodate extended live-aboard and longer offshore passages.

Survey report available from just 2 years ago.
