Mast / Rigging
Mast is one of the heavy duty "Tasker tree trunks". Complete stripped, repainted and refurbished by rigger in 2015. New electrical wiring, all navigation lights LED, new Dyneema-Dux shrouds, profesionally spliced. 2015 Selden boom and reefing lines. New Dyneema halyards. Profurl 320 furler on staysail 2015, new Profurl 460 (oversized) furler on headstay 2018.
4 Barlow deck winches around cockpit. 2 Lewmar halyard - and reefing winches under dodger. 1 mast winch. All lines back to cockpit. All reefing and furling can be done without leaving the cockpit. Tiller extension. Fleming self steering gear (with spare bearings and blades). Spare tiller. Spare heavy duty wash board. All portholes are opening for cross-ventilation. Heavy perspex doublers on all portholes for heavy weather.
Ciella has been fitted out with a singlehanded circumnavigation in mind. Although those plans had to be abandoned, she just finished a very succesfull singlehanded, double crossing of the Tasman Sea, in which all her systems worked as expected. New anti-fouling and Propspeed has been applied December 2018. Ciella is Federally registered for overseas travel.
