"Cardinal Puff" is a 1967 Swanson Carmen 31 Classic timber yacht.

Price Negotiable

She was originally commissioned by Sydney to Hobart legend Mr Peter Kurtz
Designed by Ron Swanson & Wally Ward and built in 1967 by Graham "Bluey" Williams in Brisbane.

"Cardinal Puff" has sailed with distinction in many ocean races including the 1973 Sydney to Hobart skippered by Peter Rundle.

More recently she was purchased by her current owner in 2016.
The yacht has been completely rebuilt sympathetic to her original design but facilitating modern improvements and new safety criteria by Derwent Marine in Hobart.
The rebuild has taken over 5 years and has been a true passion project with no expense spared.
Over $150,000 has been spent on her rebuild including new Nanni engine, mast, rigging, sails and a complete rebuild internally.

The keel is full length and the hull below the waterline is constructed of Oregon planking over Maple ribs.

These designs are fakes for their seaworthiness and ability to sail shorthand.
