STEALTH is a 1998 Kim Swarbrick designed, 9.7 metre Aluminium sloop, the hull and deck was built by Steve Ward in WA [builder of Australia II].

Currently the two handed sailing scene is making a big push in Australia and Stealth represents a great, affordable opportunity to get involved as she is set up and ready to go for short handed racing.

Stealth is a VERY resilient boat. Strong, powerful, reliable, safe and exciting in any sea. Her current owner has had her in 12 m seas and 60 knots crossing Bass Straight, proving no issue for this little battler. In the very light airs, she is fast and very responsive due, in no small part, to the deep keel and 1/4 of her 3.74 tonne displacement at the base of the keel. This results in a very stable boat.

The Swarbrick hull design is sleek, efficient and quick. With good boat management, sail selection, crew support and systems, Stealth has been a competitive 'around the cans' inshore racer and a competitive Offshore racer.

She is a very dry boat and no known structural issues. Plenty of storage with very good access to all parts of the hull.

A new Volvo D1-20 diesel and sail drive was installed in 2018 and has only 380 hours running time. It drives the boat at 6 knots cruising speed and is very quiet. The engine and saildrive have been regularly serviced, the last service in July 2020

The standing rigging were replaced in 2017. Stealth was last slipped and antifouled in July 2020 at RPAYC. The rudder was removed and the rudder bearings cleaned and regreased.

The boat is currently rated as Cat 4(excl PFD's). Has been rated Cat 2.
