Swarbrick's S38 Space-Sailors are recognised as well behaved, seaworthy vessels, at home cruising, racing around the cans or for serious off-shore racing. The Australian Navy purchased 7 in early 1980 which were raced in Sydney-Hobart (1985 - 2001) and 2 of which the Navy retains as sail training vessels
One Mo Time was built to survey in 1987 has been well maintained and presents in excellent condition with professionally re-painted topsides (2019), decks (2020) and cockpit (2020).
Accommodation comprises of 3 separate double cabins together with a dinette double and single in the salon. The SpaceSailor lives up to its name with an amazing amount of storage for a boat of this size. Included is a small inflatable tender with a 3.3 outboard.
Swarbrick 38s are recognised as versatile yachts and One Mo Time boasts a bag of racing trophies whilst having spent the last two years short-handed (2) cruising the East Coast. She has an extensive sail wardrobe, in excellent condition, providing a sail plan suitable for conditions ranging from light wind racing on the harbour to 40 knots offshore. The wardrobe comprises a Main with 3 reefing points, Number 1,3 and 4 (Yankee cut) furling headsails. Additionally there is a storm jib run on a separate removable baby stay and fractional symmetrical spinnaker with pole. A new boom-bag with lazy jacks was fitted in 2020.
This classic yacht has been modernised by addition of; quality electronics (MFD, AIS, wind-instruments), dedicated on-board WiFi; Targa (supporting the davits, solar panels, Bimini and various aerials), linear drive autohelm, Gori folding prop; Victron battery charger --- the list goes on.
For cruising-comfort a spray hood, Bimini and infill, all integrated with the Targa, provide (optional) full coverage of the cockpit (new 2019). The spatious cockpit will accommodate your crew or guests in comfort and comes with removable small or a large (to accommodate your Sundowner party) tables. One Mo Time has a practical 'sugar-scoop' at the stern, facilitating easy access from a tender, as well as providing a wonderful swimming / fishing platform. The cockpit and deck are illuminated by bright LED lights.
Down below, creature comforts include a 12v (Ozefridge) eutectic fridge, pressure water, LPG stove, grill and 2 burner cook-top (with current gas certification), large capacity built in fibre glass water tanks and enclosed electric toilet.
The deck has been set up by an experienced yachtsman for easy, short-handed racing / cruising. Lines are brought back to the cockpit through clutches to one of eight (4 self-tailing) winches
Anchoring is a breeze, even in the windiest of conditions, thanks to the 15kg Rocna anchor on 70m of quality galvanised chain, with a further 50m of nylon rode. Pulling the anchor is no problem for the Muir winch and decks can be kept clean with the deck-wash.
One-Mo-Time is ready to take on your next adventure (racing, cruising).
Back from her cruising adventures, One-Mo-Time is currently lying in Lavender Bay. The owners have purchased a larger yacht to extend their live-aboard cruising lifestyle and are regrettable selling One-Mo-Time.
New batteries, windows and hatches.
