Windchaser is an ideal cruising boat, while also making a great yacht for around-the cans racing.
She loves a brisk breeze and is comfortable with full sail up to 25 knots.
She has been set up for extended offshore cruising, as well as for comfortable weekends -- or weeks -- away, with dodger and bimini giving shelter from sun and spray, while a bimini cockpit extension gives complete protection from rain and sun when at anchor. A unique sugar scoop design makes access from a dinghy very easy and safe, while a large drop-down ladder (which doubles as part of the cockpit backrest when underway) lets you easily climb back aboard after a swim.
Downstairs, she is roomy and comfortable (well over 6 ft headroom), with two full berths (one foreward, one aft) plus 2 bunks in the main cabin.
A fully extending table gives plenty of room or entertaining and relaxing in the cabin.
The head incorporates a holding tank, manual pump toilet, hot water shower and wash basin.
The galley incorporates a safe and reliable metho stove, battery-powered fridge, plus plenty of storage space.
She's safe and secure at anchor, with 50 m of chain, Rocna anchor and electric winch.
Windchaser is well set up for short or single-handed sailing, including lazyjacks and boom back, all lines back to cockpit, furling headsail, and autohelm.
Electronic gear includes:
o VHF and HF radio
o Wind, speed and depth instruments
o Radar
Full sail wardrobe includes near-new #2 jib (May 2017), fully battened main (serviced May 2017), spare main and jib, cruising MPS spinnaker (with sock), conventional spinnaker, #3 jib, storm jib (on detachable inner forestay).
