William Crealock was a yacht designer and author. He was one of the world's leading yacht designers from the 60's through the 90's, his yachts were owned by the famous and wealthy, including Walter Cronkite and William Hurt. Perhaps his most successful production boat was the Westsail 32' which hit a chord with the sailing public and helped the cruising lifestyle come out of the fringes and into the mainstream. 'Bill' Crealock designed the Crealock 43' potentially, for his own use. The 43' would go on the achieve a reputation as a strong, well balanced bluewater cruising yacht. Crealock 43's are sought after by those seeking a comfortable and safe cruiser.

'Cuchara' is an exceptional example of its class, having been owned by the current owners for 25 years. She was sailed by the current owners, from Virgin Islands in the Caribbean across the Pacific Ocean and onto Asia. In 2000, whilst still in the Caribbean, she underwent a major refit, including a custom interior of plantation teak and bamboo including new standing rigging a mast repaint, custom silicon bronze bow and stern pulpits, stanchions and genoa track, all new plumbing and electrical systems. The refit included a mast-out re rig, new water and fuel tanks and a water maker including washing machine, a dramatic increase in storage capacity (50 drawers in all) and numerous other items to make live aboard life comfortable and safe at sea.

n accordance with their creative and perfectionist way of life, the finished result is nothing short of 'stunning' - this Crealock 43' is anything but your typical factory fitted yacht. The overall feel of the warm timbers and detailed fittings create the right environment for your up coming tropical Asian & Pacific cruising life style.

'Cuchara' is one of those pleasures one comes across once in a lifetime. The owners have continued to maintain her to a high standard of readiness, enabling the new owner to simply put their stuff on board and go!

For those seriously looking for a special, live aboard cruiser, this is an opportunity not to miss.
