"Anna Rose" is a 43' (13m) Young Sun staysail cutter with a platform bowsprit, a long deep keel and a canoe stern. Designed by Ron Amy in the tradition of Colin Archer, she was built of solid glass construction at the Ping Tung Hsien boatyard in Taiwan in 1986 under the designer's supervision and was the first of her class to be imported to Australia. Being a "showboat" she has a beautiful teak interior fit out that sleeps 8, with two heads with showers. She carries 1000 litres each of water and diesel. She has a 130hp Volvo Penta. She's a strong blue water cruiser, fast for her design - she holds 7 knots in anything over force three - and she is well proven in that with previous owners she has circumnavigated twice; and we sailed her from Hobart to Vanuatu and the Solomon Islands via the mainland of Australia and New Zealand.

This beautiful seaworthy and characterful yacht is back in her home port of Hobart as of December 2016 and we now reluctantly offer her for sale, available for her next adventure with new owners who we hope will love her as much as we do!

Remarks
Anna Rose is a beautiful, versatile and much loved go-anywhere yacht. Her long keel and her heavy displacement give a wonderful feeling of solidity and safety. She proved reliable, comfortable and surprisingly quick on her Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific cruises between 2012 and 2016. For much of that time we sailed her as a couple and found her easy to manage and very comfortable to live on for long periods.

She has just returned to her home port of Hobart, delivered from the Solomons by Laura Dekker (youngest woman to sail solo round the world) and her husband Daniel, who also have expressed admiration for her performance.
