Fantastic coastal cruiser, fast, safe, stable and reliable. Amazingly easy to sail, most of my sailing is done singlehanded and she is beautifully predictable, balanced and loves wind. She has been really well maintained and is in excellent condition. Fantastic value, recently valued at $110 -120,000.
Proven, well built and well maintained, coastal cruiser/racer in excellent condition. Farrier's famous folding system trimaran, folds in minutes to a road legal width, or for parking in a marina berth, trailerable with registered road trailer in very good, roadworthy condition.
Built as the plug boat for Ostac Marine F 31 production series in Brisbane in 1991 under the supervision of Ian Farrier. Well built of western red cedar strips and glass and vinylester. Amas are foam and vinylester and beams more complex with foam, carbon and kevlar. Ostac built beams had the proven Farrier fix in 2010, now bulletproof after the Ostac seams removed and glassed over. Beam compression pads also re-inforced with Farrier's hardwood compression blocks added. Build proven by recent thorough maintenance work which involved removing all bottom paint to gelcoat as well as repainting topsides, no deficits evident. Coppercoat antifouling applied December 2017.
3 owners since. Current owner for last 10 years, sailed extensively in southern Tasmania, after crossing Bass Strait. Has been approved as a keelboat sail trainer by Australian Sailing, AMSA and MAST. Has undergone extensive renovations over the last 2 years and is arguably in as good a condition as ever she was. New paint, tramps, mainsail, outboard, Coppercoat antifouling, all stainless structural bolts replaced, new cushions and mattresses inside. New dyneema square top main a couple of years ago and a new Yamaha 9.9 four stroke just before that. Tiller outboard linkage added at that time. Daggerboard cheek block replaced. Aft cabin ventilation hatches replaced.
Sails beautifully, if there is any wind she is pretty well unbeatable, she just loves wind, but slides along with the Etchells in light airs.
Comes with registered trailer with electric/hydraulic brakes and winch. Trailer had major recondition with main beams replaced and size increased, all bearings and disc brakes and electric/hydraulic pump overhauled. Trailer is registered, safe and roadworthy.
Achilles 11 foot dinghy included.
She is the first multihull in Australia to have been approved as being suitable as a sailtrainer by Australian Sailing and AMSA, and will be operating as a sailtrainer for Port Cygnet Sailing Club this season, as well as conducting Discover Sailing Experiences. Selling her is now not so much of an issue. I am interested though in downsizing her for say an F22, so am still open to offers. The price may increase though as there may be substantial improvements made if the proposed business is successful.
If anyone is interested in trying out one of these boats, there is a good opportunity here, come out for a sail as part of a Discover Sailing Experience. Enjoy our beautiful southern Tasmanian waterways at the same time.
More details can be seen at www dot fleetwing dot com dot au, including a video of her doing the rounds of Huon and Garden Islands on the website.
Considering investing in new genoa this racing season, in which case the price will increase.
A great opportunity to get a quality, well built and well maintained boat at a fraction of the new boat price. Check out the F 32 webpage to see how much a new one will cost.
