In 2000 the Mustang 3800 Sport cruiser won the Prestigious Australian Boat of the Year award and three years later backed it up a second time just for good measure. The entire Mustang range has award winning boats scattered through it.

Designed with an integrated swim platform, concealed ladder, rear fresh water shower and considerable sized boot with easy access through the Starboard side transom door into an oversized cockpit finished in composite teak with easy underfloor access the boat screams Offshore fishing and entertaining. Plenty of room for the game rods, deck chairs and water toys. Neatly built into the rear of the helm seat is the wet bar with sink and ice box ideal for summer drinks or fresh baits ready to be rigged for the RELAX game poles and fresh spread of lures. Step up to the Helm and mezzanine level for additional seating looking back over the Cockpit and forward over the bow and through the wrap around glass screens. Room for 4 or 5 pax giving the skipper some company as he effortlessly keeps the boat on track with DTS controls, Hydraulic steering and Furuno electronics. Vision from the helm is excellent is all directions making clear passage and berthing a breeze.

A centrally located companionway door leads through to an open plan Saloon, one of my favourites due to its excellent headroom and wide internal beam. Plenty of room to spread out with the family. A dinette to Starboard that can convert to a small double berth with the addition of a cushion, a large master berth forward with privacy screen that I can stretch out on ( its not common for me ) and a great aft transverse berth being my favourite also offering a privacy screen. Sleeping for 4 - 6 pax is definitely on the cards.

Preparing the evening meal will not have you all cramped up in a small Galley with the Mustang Galley running most of the length of the downstairs area, although most prefer to cook on the rear BBQ. A twin element stove, Sharp microwave and stainless sink with plenty of bench space has always impressed my family. Cooling things down in the Vitrfrigo fridge with small freezer is all you might need for the cold foods with the drinks icebox out on the back deck doing all the heavy lifting.

Repowered 462 hours ago with a pair of Mercruiser Mag 377 MPI Seacores, fresh water cooled petrol stern drive engines producing 320 Hp a side. Digital Throttle Selection ( DTS ) controls, Smart craft digital and analogue gauges showing just 462 hours as of listing. The Seacore engine has upgraded internals for extended salt water protection along with the Gen ii fuel cooler module and hydraulic assisted steering. It certainly is a pleasure to drive!
