Nordhavn 55 Long Range Passagemaker "MV Tipasa" 2006 model, currently lying Krabi Is. Thailand.
Extensive overhaul 2022 & 2023/ Log Book Maintenance
"Tipasa" holds Langkawi International Registry Certification. Langkawi is a duty Free Port.
The following are just some of "Tipasa's" features:
BOAT DECK: Open social space on the upper boat deck. Rather than using the boat's upper deck as a storage space, converted into a dining settee for six with folding teak armchairs.
BOAT DECK AWNING: The strong stainless steel top frame removable and a canvas cover provide shade on the upper deck and adds space for a large array of solar panel (1000w).
The hydraulic crane remains operational for heavy loads, such as loading a motorcycle.
USER FRIENDLY DAVIT: The tender is stowed at the transom on a stainless-steel swinging davit operated by an electric winch, allowing the easy loading and unloading of a 12' RIB and at the same time frees space on the upper deck.
PARTITION BULKHEAD: In the saloon, a partition teak bulkhead created to separate the kitchen from the saloon. On the saloon side, bookshelves and on the galley side, a panel to hang kitchenware, therefore providing a more usable layout of the kitchen.
This partition bulkhead can easily be removed, and the layout returned to the original 'standard' open plan layout.
"Tipasa" is located close to the epicentre of Thailand's secure marine onshore facilities at Phuket Boat Lagoon, Phuket Is.

Accommodation
The Nordhavn 55 is designed to be an owner-operated vessel, with the perfect size for long term liveaboard for a couple and occasional guests.
The general arrangement of the vessel is cleverly designed with companionways and access doors between the interior and the decks. A sheltered side deck to starboard allows the crew to move freely from the helm to the cockpit for docking manoeuvres without entering the saloon. On "Tipasa", each crew member will find privacy. With a smart flow between the saloon, the staterooms, the wheelhouse and the decks, the crew will never have the feeling that the boat is crowded. All of the popular factory options have been selected but several improvements have eased the daily life and operations.
SALOON:
L-shaped settee with black leather Chesterfield upholstery together with two arm chairs reflects in the saloon, the atmosphere of a classic yacht with the flair of a home library decorated with some vintage marine instruments. White cotton covers are available and used for the settee particularly during the summer period which provides a distinguished lifestyle.
A teak partition teak between the galley and the saloon segregates the kitchen from the saloon. On the saloon side, one finds shelves for more than a hundred books. On the galley side the bulkhead is used for kitchen tools and provides a more usable layout in the kitchen. PLEASE NOTE: This partition can easily be removed if necessary. Beside the fact it's creating a cozy classic yacht library atmosphere on the saloon side, a separate kitchen has proven to be much more convenient and professional when a crew, chef or stewardess is hired.

BOAT DECK:
Open social space on the boat deck. Rather than using the boat's upper deck as a storage space, the previous owner decided to turn it into an al-fresco dining settee for six with teak armchairs and creating a comfortable social area.
Boat deck cover: The strong stainless steel top frame (which is bolted and may be removed if necessary) and a canvas cover provide shade on the upper deck and adds space for a large array of solar panel (1000w), therefore reducing the carbon footprint of the vessel while keeping at anchor the batteries charged.
The hydraulic crane remains operational for heavy loads should the need arise such as loading a motorcycle.
User-friendly swinging davits: The tender is stowed at the transom on a bullet-proof stainless-steel swinging davit operated by an electric winch. This custom designed davit system allows the easy loading and unloading of a 12' RIB and at the same time frees space on the upper deck for an open saloon. Moreover, this davit allows for easier and risk-free operations.
Retractable swing-up s/s stanchion amidships, to support centre of boatdeck overhead.
