Versatile and capable trailer sailer

Welcome to our Catalina/Boomaroo 22 Trailer Sailer: the perfect blend of versatility, performance, and pleasure.

The Boomaroo 22 is the Australian production of the Catalina 22 - a 22-foot sailboat and one of the most popular production sailing boats in the world, known for her thoughtfully designed hull, which strikes a balance between stability and performance. Her compact size makes her easily towable, allowing you to explore various waterways and embark on new sailing adventures.

Despite her compact size, she delivers impressive performance and stability. She responds well to the helm and provides a safe and enjoyable sailing experience. Whether you're leisurely cruising or engaging in some spirited sailing, she handles the water with confidence. She suits individuals with varying levels of sailing experience, making her an ideal choice for both newcomers and seasoned sailors.

One of the standout features of the Catalina 22 is her user-friendly design making her easy to handle and operate. Setting up and launching this trailer sailer is a breeze, thanks to its efficient rigging system. The Boomaroo used the same mold and fittings as the Catalina 22, so spare parts are readily available online through catalinadirect. Com and a super active Catalina 22 Facebook page will answer any question you might have regarding maintenance, repairs, tips, tricks and more.

Below deck, Dragon Princess offers comfortable accommodations for her size. You'll find a cozy cabin with seating, a galley for cooking, room for a 12 volt fridge/freezer, good storage areas and a V-berth with custom latex mattress, making her a comfortable space to rest and recharge during your sailing journeys, as over 6 years of amazing sailing and adventuring with her has shown us.

Dragon Princess has sailed and explored Moreton Bay, Bribie Island and the Pumicestone Passage, the Gold Coast waterways, K'Gari (Fraser Island) the Great Sandy Straits, and Mooloolaba many times. During Covid we were fortunate enough to cruise the "100 Magic Miles" for 5 weeks departing Mackay in August and arriving in Bowen in late September 2021 via the amazing islands of the Cumberland, Whitsunday and Gloucester groups. Dragon Princess handled a range of conditions and was a joy to be with throughout the journey. Our latest explorations took us to Pittwater, Ku-ring-gai National Park, and the Hawkesbury with many highlights to add to the sailing memory bank.

The Catalina 22 is built with quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, constructed to withstand the rigours of sailing and ensure longevity, allowing you to enjoy years of sailing pleasure.

Dragon Princess is a versatile and well-crafted sailboat designed to offer an enjoyable sailing experience for sailors of all levels. Her compact size, ease of use, and comfortable accommodations make her a fantastic choice for those looking to embark on sailing adventures with the convenience of trailering.
