Outremer 45

Outremer 45 first generation, known for their excellent sailing performance. This is a classic performance cruising catamaran with a recent and thorough refit in place. Designed by Gerard Danson, the Outremer 45 is one of 39 built. As a light displacement boat, she will sail as soon as there is breeze and will go to windward at 30deg to apparent.

The structure is a solid fibreglass with foam cored decks. There are 2 performance keels glassed onto the hull. This means that the boat can be beached if needed, something the current owner has done. The sugar scoops were extended in 2022 giving extra LOA as well as a great platform for getting in and out of the water! The boat had a copper coat antifouling applied in 2022 along with a gelcoat polish.

The standing rigging is all from 2022. The shrouds, diamonds and runners are in dyneema and the forestay and crossbeam stay are 1/19 stainless. The mainsail is an Evolution carbon technora square top from 2021, the foresail is a self-tacking solent and is in good shape. There is a bowsprit and rigging for a spinnaker if you wanted to add this to the sail suite.

The port engine is new with just 300h, the starboard is running well. Both have variprop 3 blade propellors. There is a 120A alternator and Bamar voltage regulator on the port engine for quick charging of the service batteries. The 200l/h watermaker was installed in 2023 and runs of the engine, producing plenty of water for a boat in cruising mode.

The energy system is first class with 800Ah of Atem Power Lithium batteries from 2022 and 1800W of solar. There is a Mastervolt 2000W 12V/220V converter as well as Eberspaecher heating system with radiators that is in service.

There are full Raymarine electronics with chartplotter, depth, wind, log and autopilot.

This Outremer 45 has 4 cabins, with 3 double and 3 singles berths sleeping a total of 9. The saloon is with fully equipped galley, table seating and chart table. There are 2 bathrooms, one with classic seawater heads and separate shower, the other with compositing toilet. The boat has had new upholstery in 2023 in the saloon and cockpit. The cockpit has an attractive wood table with added Magma BBQ.

On this Outremer 45 all is in place for ocean cruising. The Liferaft is good to 2026, there is an EPIRB, recent fire extinguishers and flares. The anchoring kit has been serviced and there is a new Rocan 25kg anchor. The tender is 3.5m semi rigid with and 18Hp 2st outboard. Impot duties into NZ and French Polynesia both paid.
