Custom David Folkes-designed 42 ft (12.8m) Bluewater steel-hull cruising sloop.

Crafted by a seasoned builder on picturesque Vancouver Island from a David Folkes 43 design, SY Coastal Drifter was launched in 2006 from the prolific boatyards of Nanaimo Canada, and embodies an intimate quality both inside and out.
We have sailed her over 8000 nautical miles; from the west coast of Canada to her current location in Fiji. Now it is time to hand over the helm to new owners!

This robust steel vessel is safe and forgiving. She'll be your gateway to the famous islands and reefs, while retainig the capability for making passages to new horizons and adventures beyond.

Consider this yacht as a portable bach, ready to take you wherever you want to go, as soon as you get here! During vacations or quick holidays.

Head to shore for provisioning, then out to the islets, coves, bays, and islands to play in the tropical waters and the friendliest hosts who welcome you. The airport is a short taxi ride to your new getaway.

The fuel capacity gives you peace of mind and the large fresh water tank combined with the high-volume RO watermaker removes any worries about shortages.

When the sunny tropical skies turn a little cloudy, the 600W solar panel array still makes it possible to live off the grid for weeks at a time without worry saving you heaps of $$ at the normal Resorts. The tradewinds power up the wind generator to add extra energy to your batteries.

If you've got a thirst for far-off adventure, or just want to drift about in the tropical waters, watching sunsets from your cockpit SY Coastal Drifter is ready to transport you to other South Pacific destinations and beyond. You'll never regret living your dreams!
