|Built in New Zealand in 2002, This amazing vessel is massively constructed with 45 mm Kauri planks on 125x150 mm laminated hardwood frames at 420mm centres. The interior is exquisitely crafted in rich NZ timber.
There is a private double cabin in the starboard quarter opposite the galley. Moving forward, the bathroom is to starboard opposite the galley.
The saloon has seating for eight on two settees with a single berth behind and above each settee. On the centreline, there is a solid timber varnished table with a drop leaf on it's stbd side.
There is a single berth to stbd moving forward and a single berth cabin to port opposite.
On Deck, she has raised bulwarks for safety and wide walk around decks.
The combination of the low aspect, large sail area gaff rig powers her up very efficiently, easily driving her along at 7-8 knots in 15 kts of wind.
She was recently on the hardstand at the boatworks for two months for a refit and there was no movemenmt whatsoever in the hull.

||This absolutely gorgeous timber yacht has been crafted in the best New Zealand timbers by professional craftsman to last a lifetime. "Te Aihe" was designed and built to cruise the world in comfort and safety. Her moderate to heavy displacement gives her a soft gentle motion at sea and with her low aspect gaff rig, she remains more upright than a conventional sloop rigged yacht under sail.
"Te Aihe" has just had a refit and antifoul here at The Boat Works in july/august 2015 and is ready to take you to your cruising destination.
