|Cavalier Lady is a good all-round family boat. She can be sailed very close-winded and will outpoint most other cruisers. With proper sail trim she is very light on the helm and quick up wind. She is easy to sail and very forgiving to errors on the helm. You rarely need to reef; for racing think about reefing above 25 kn while for comfortable cruising maybe at 20 kts. The cockpit is well protected and you stay dry even in heavy conditions. She comfortably accommodates 5 or 6 and will handle safely a trip across to Rottnest in the most severe conditions.
