Since 2006, Chimere has enabled me to fulfill my sailing dreams. She could do the same for you. What's more, she's ready to go now, and is for sale at a small fraction of her replacement cost; representing tremendous value.

In the 17 years I have owned Chimere, we have conducted four medical transport missions around the remote islands of Vanuatu, each of six months duration, for the registered Australian charity Medical Sailing Ministries Inc. In addition, we've sailed around Tassie, and New Zealand, including Stewart Island and Fiordland. (Just watch the many videos of her to see how she performs)

Chimere was launched in 1984, being professionally designed and built in Sydney by Jean Vignes.

Since 2006,(when we bought her in Busselton WA) she has been professionally maintained, with a range of improvements and upgrades being made, including: enclosed cockpit and stern access platform, rear davits, new ss standing rigging in 2020 (when the mast was also removed for servicing), 6.5kva Paguro diesel generator (in sound shell), Stella water maker (4L/min), toilet holding tank, hot water service, reverse cycle air conditioner and upgraded electronics (chartplotter, radar, wind, VHF radio, sound system, TV/DVD player and autohelm)

"Chimere" is a French word meaning "unattainable dream"... But for me, Chimere instead became a way for me to truly fulfill my dreams. Maybe she will for you too.
