1980 Savage Oceanic 45 now for sale exclusively with DBY Boat Sales.

Mulloka II is a beautiful example of Jack Savage's centre-cockpit bluewater cruising masterpiece the Oceanic 42, but she has a wonderful transom extension making her 45 feet overall. Originally drawn by Jack Savage as his own boat, the design proved so popular that 53 were launched, a remarkable record at that time for an Australian designed and built yacht of this size. It is worth noting however that only 5 were built under Jack's personal supervision at Savage Boats in Melbourne and Mulloka II is one of the lucky 5.

Launched early in 1980, Mulloka II is an Australian Registered Ship and has comfortably and safely circumnavigated (yup the World) with her current owners and has more recently cruised the East Coast of Australia extensively. Having decided it's time to remain ashore Mulloka II is now looking for some new travel companions.

The owners' double cabin and ensuite are aft, plus there is a double guest cabin forward with a second bathroom.

In 2008 she was fitted with a new 4-cylinder Yanmar 75hp diesel driving though a shaft with an excellent German made 3 blade Variprop feathering propellor.

She has the factory fitted solid fibreglass spray dodger, a Simrad autopilot, plus an Aries wind vane self-steering system, November 2022 standing rigging, which includes 2 headsail furlers (carrying a genoa and a yankee), and she carries a spinnaker.

She boasts excellent awnings to protect you from the sun, and 3 solar panels on a custom arch aft. A Muir electric anchor winch, a stainless-steel barbecue, even a 12 volt hookah diving system...

She holds 900 litres of fresh water plus 460 litres of fuel, and has a holding tank fitted.

Mulloka II has been there and done that, and having just completed one final trip North to Yamba and back with her current owners she is literally ready to provision up and sail away all over again.
