Designer Doug Peterson was commissioned by Tom Stephenson calling for four things: Vessel had to be Fast; Safe; Comfortable and Look Good. The Seaway is all of these. Five berth layout, folding table and plenty of internal locker space including lockable external vented locker for outboard fuel tank and deep locker in cockpit.
DECK FITTINGS: Stemhead in stainless steel, double trackfittings, anodized alloy forehatch, custom made pulpit and pushpit, tapered staunchions with s/s bases through bolted.
SPARS: Deck stepped mast, tapered aerofoil spreaders, anodized boom, spinnaker pole.
ELECTRICS: Electric 12V switch panel, cabin lighting, navigation lights, battery charged by solar panel.
KEEL: Fibreglass sheated lead lifting keel in keelbox bonded to the hull. Keel is 150Kg and there is 500Kg ballast glassed into the hull.
RUDDER: Removable Cassette to allow beaching and enable trailering.
MOTOR: Tohatsu 9.8 S/No 015792KK. Removable tank in vented lockable locker.
ACCOMMODATION: Vessell has internal hood lining. GRP mouldings with teak trim, teak faced bulkheads. Two settee berths with stowage under, quarter berth, folding teak and laminate table fitted around centre board case. Forepeak double vee berth with locker and chemical port potti. Internal cushions.
The Seaway 25 is IOR and JOG rated.
SAILS: Main plus three genoas, two kites fractional, for racing rated good condition. Other sails suitable for cruising.
OTHER: Six life jackets 4 yo. Alloy Anchor.
Used for club racing on Sydney Harbour and cruising in protected waters.
