|The Sigma 33 was the first in a long series of offshore capable cruiser racers produced by Marine Projects, UK.
Although designed as a one-design class racing yacht, the Sigma is easily handled and well laid out for family cruising. The David Thomas design was conceived as a true cruiser racer, with comfortable accommodation and safe, sea-keeping qualities to match her performance, and was just as well suited to a family holiday as a championship regatta.
The design sees the boat has a huge, easily worked cockpit, with wide coamings angled to make sitting out comfortable, and spacious side decks.

||Coming down companionway from the cockpit and into the saloon area of the yacht you have the galley to starboard. Forward of here is saloon seating and a pipe cot that can double as extra storage space. Storage for life jackets is below the pipe cot. Seating port and starboard is around a large timber table that has a drop down leaf to give clear access to the forward cabins. Throughout the saloon you find grab rails where you need them and the yacht has been finished with a comprehensive timber trim. Starboard side of the saloon and above the seating is dedicated to storage. A teak and holly sole adds to the traditional feel of the yacht. Natural lighting is provided by the long windows port and starboard (replaced and in good condition) and the large deck hatch overhead. Moving forward to the Vee berth you pass through the wet area that has the electric head, vanity and shower. Forward again into the vee berth with its storage outbound above the berth. There is also a large storage locker to starboard in the head area. Both the head and the vee berth can be closed off with doors. Heading back through the saloon and to port opposite the galley there is room for refrigeration to be fitted and aft of here is the quarter berth.
All in all, internally the yacht presents nicely and upholstery is in good condition.
