AMEL 50.
THE AMEL SPIRIT IS IN CONSTANT RENEWAL.
Behind the modern lines of Amel yachts hide fifty years of know-how, born from Henri Amel's passion for ocean-going sailing and ship-building. The Amel equipment and design are in constant development to guarantee optimum onboard comfort, regardless of the sailing conditions.
Amel have released a new model, the AMEL 50 which is carrying on the tradition of the Amel Santorin 46 as a sloop rigged cruising yacht. The Amel 50 is a new design by Berret Racoupeau which encompasses all the Amel features which have made Amel synonymous with comfortable and safe blue water cruising into a 50' cruising sloop with a new spacious interior layout. The new layout has 3 cabins, L-shaped galley and large saloon with chart-table. Choices of fine interior timbers are available, Light Oak, Mahogany, American Walnut or the exotic Indian Rosewood
Sailing performance is not compromised in the Amel 50 with tall mast head sloop rig, Hydranet furling sails, twin rudders and performance keel. The centre cockpit with hardtop and opening roof are the nucleus of the yacht with sail controls and helm all enclosed from the elements for comfortable passage making. The cockpit is also the center of outdoor living with large dining table and seating for entertaining. A large option sunbed can be enjoyed on the aft deck.
The heartbeat of the Amel 50, the Volvo D3-110 is housed in the unique centre engine room which is water tight, fully insulated from the boats interior and provides easy access for service. The central engine room is akin to a superyacht and houses all the boats machinery providing quiet enjoyment for all passengers.
The AMEL spirit is behind every stage in the construction process, from the choice of materials to internal finish, along with the service provided to AMEL customers around the world. Fully designed and manufactured in La Rochelle, each unit is delivered by an AMEL technician, with one week to get to grips with the yacht. Owners can familiarise themselves with their new yacht and begin to appreciate the true pleasure of effortless, safe and comfortable sailing.
