A tribute to traditional vessels with multi purpose appeal for modern day sailors. The Amity is the Swiss Army Knife of small yachts - a classic day-sailer big enough for the whole family, a weekend Gunkholer, a traditional classic sailing boat which harcs back to fishing fleets that serviced our shores.

We designed the hull to be fast and fun to sail, yet forgiving for the novice, strong, safe and most importantly easy to use. Launch and sail in minutes, take a swag and cover and camp aboard for a weekend of exploration. Escape the 9 - 5 and explore those waterways you've always wanted. Sail, row or use the electric motor. Either way it's all about messing about on the water, and with such a fun good looking classic boat, were sure you'll go back for more and more!

With all the stress of modern day living it's vital to step back and escape from it all. We love sailing, always have, but it's very easy to lose your love in bigger and more complex boats and become a slave to maintenance, expense and hassle of just going for a sail.

What if you could have a classic yacht without the hassle, something that would evoke oooohhh's and aaaah's by everyone as you slip out of the Harbour. A boat that you can set sail in minutes and pack away just as quickly. Keep at the Yacht Club or take home. Trail it to Regatta's, take it on holiday with you. These were our parameters, life's too short to own an ugly boat! Do yourself, your bank account and your sanity a favour. Find out again why you love to sail, join us and savour your hand crafted Amity.

Accommodation
Each Amity has a cockpit that would rival many 50ft yachts. There is easily enough space for 5 or 6 to sit comfortably. The floor is designed to be wide enough to fit 4 x camping swag matts for overnighting and with the option of our boom awning/tent the boat will convert into an overnighter with minimal fuss.

There is a large hold FWD under deck which is accessed by a large hatch at the fwd end of the cockpit. This hold area is very large and great for stowing all the families gear.

Round the side of the cockpit (underneath the side decks) there are four stowage areas which are ideal for throwing in items you may need to access frequently and easily.
Sail Inventory
The boat comes complete sail away with a set of white dacron sails from UK Halsey. Mainsail and Jib measure 25sqm.
Mast / Rigging
Timber spars - all handcrafted by our experienced shipwrights in oregan incl bowsprit, samson post, mast, gaff and boom, finished in Allwood varnish - an Awlgrip product moisture cure polyurathane.

Standing rigging - Dynex (stronger than S/S and importantly doesn't scratch your boat for hoisting and lowering mast)

Hardware incl turning blocks and cams are all by Gerhauer.

Running rigging - Double braid polyester
Deck Gear
Most importantly the mast is designed to raise and lower in seconds and can be done easily with one person. The only stay to remove and reattach is the Forestay, all other stays stay attached. Once the mast is lowered it fits neatly into a bracket and does not need to be removed from the tabernackle, making this very quick and easy.
Trailer
The (optoinal) trailer is a single axle trailer with brakes. Galvanised and further coated in a graphite Hammerite coating which hardens exceptoinally well giving a durable finish. The trailers are custom made for our boats with mutiple rollers providing the correct support for travelling. They come fully equipped with a strap winch, LED tail lights, tie down points, alloy wheels, spare wheel and hub. The combined dry weight of the boat and trailer is approx 970kg making it towable for a normal
Remarks
The cockpit is self draining with sealed buoyancy under floor and in the FWD hold. Importantly this gives the boat its positive flotation effectively making it unsinkable. With the self draining cockpit there is no need for bilge pumps or ancillary gear.

We have often been asked about internal seating on the boat. We have designed the cockpit to be as large as possible and the side decks are just the right height for sitting on, they are exceptionally wide making it very comfortable for the crew with nice ergonomic curves on the cockpit coaming. A slide out helmsman seat is optoinal.
