Overview

This boat cruised from Northern Australia to the island of Tasmania and crossed such heavy seas on the way that the ocean claimed a $50k tender and swept it off the transom. But the boat and crew were just fine... The more I cruise around the world the more it becomes obvious to me that when the ocean gets sporty the size of your boat makes a huge difference to your comfort levels. It's not just that though... With today's technology a motor yacht of around 70ft can be managed as easily as a 50ft yacht from 15yrs ago. This is opening up a new level of comfort at sea, on anchor and for entertaining. For Aussies and Americans who I know like to owner operate their boats then this is about the max size you can realistically achieve without involving crew. A boat like this Clipper Cordova 70 is a literal luxury home on water with expansive views and ability to cruise at sensible speeds and enjoy amazing places like Tasmania no matter what Mother Nature has in store for you.
