Production of the new Cure 55 catamaran is on schedule, with boat #1 due to launch in Q4 this year. Boats 2,3 & 4 are hot on its heels.

The Cure 55GT is being hand-crafted by the Cure Marine in-house team of highly-skilled, world-class shipwrights in a dedicated Coolum Beach facility. With a full carbon fibre hull and integrated carbon fibre longeron and forebeam, the Cure 55 showcases a commitment to lightweight construction combined with structural integrity.

Equipped with Harken deck hardware, North Sails 3Di sails & self-tacking jib and B&G instruments, the Cure 55GT ensures precision control and optimal performance. Dual articulating helms provide intuitive handling, whilst a Yanmar 57HP diesel engine and 29kW Meteor/Safiery electrical system guarantee reliable power and efficiency.

Production of the Cure 55GT catamaran has its foundations in the 'Designed For Manufacture' principle, underpinned and supported by some of the latest technology currently in use in global boat building.

Designed and built on the Australian Sunshine Coast, the Cure 55GT integrates over 3kW of solar power and a full electric galley, emphasising sustainability and self-sufficiency at sea. The Cure 55GT's power-to-weight ratio ensures exceptional performance without compromising on comfort.

Renowned naval architect Paul Bury led the design process, supported by Cure Marine's dedicated in-house design team.

Remarks
Based on the Australian Sunshine Coast, Cure Marine was founded by Dave Biggar and Ian McMahon in 2022.

In 2005, two Sunshine Coast locals came up with an ambitious plan to develop a world leading composites facility with the ability to deliver high end sailing vessels to the recreational marketplace. Cure Composites was born.

Since those early days in Yandina, Dave Biggar and Ian McMahon have built Cure Composites into one of Australia's leading manufacturers and suppliers of flat panel product into the industrial sector and has become an industry leader in utilising technology to streamline the production process.

In the boat building division, Cure Composites has been responsible for some of Australia's best known performance multihulls including 'Zero' (Schionning G-Force 1800 SSS), 'Chill Pill' (Schionning G-Force 1500) and 'Noire' (Bloomfield Custom 70).

Fast-forward to 2024 and Dave, Ian and the team are well into an ambitious plan to bring Australian design and constructed product into the global boating marketplace. Under the Cure Marine brand, the new Cure 55 Catamaran design was shown to the public on the 1st December 2022 with the first boat launching in 2024. Cure Marine, in conjunction with sister companies, Zone RV and One Composites, are committed to raising the bar in the Australian marine industry for the future.

Cure Marine are committed to pushing the boundaries of the usage of contemporary composites technology in the production of its class-leading catamarans. Cure Marine is home to the largest 3D printer in the southern hemisphere. This is just one of the many manufacturing tools that Cure Marine are utilising to constantly improve the end product and to streamline the manufacturing process.

With the launch of the first Cure 55GT, 2024 will mark the arrival of Cure Marine onto the global marine stage and that can largely be attributed to Dave and Ian's vision and foresight in driving the technological innovation that the company will utilise to produce a best-in-class product.
