I bought these plans with the intention of building a Hitia 17 from scratch as I have always liked the Wharram designs and this was the most accessible design for me plus I had read that the plans were so complete that it was like doing a boatbuilding course, which appealed to me as well.
Then, a well-built Hitia 17 came up for sale in Queensland. So I asked a mate with a van to give me a lift to Tin Can Bay.
Long story short, I now know that you can carry one on roof racks and that two older blokes are capable of moving it around, because the individual hulls are surprisingly light for their size. That's why this set of unused plans is for sale. Can be posted within Australia for an additional $15.
