Remarks
MILUKAH was launched in 2019 and placed in charter in Greece with Navigare Yachting. She has not had a hard life.... Covid interrupted the 2020 and '21 seasons and we then decided to remove her from the fleet in 2022 as we had too little access to her under the charter arrangement. Having just returned from the Med, we've enjoyed 3 months onboard in the Sporades group. She is now back on hardstand. We'd planned to spend the whole season in the Med over the next few years, however family commitments means that this is not achievable..... Hence the idea to share the yacht. 6 months out of 12 for each partner.

A new share agreement will be created and will be self-managing. The current berthing location is in Volos, Greece, but this could change depending on the shareholders' wishes. We envisage moving MILUKAH every few seasons to another Med location. EDIT We are moving from Volos to Leros, Dodecanese group in 2024. Planing to overwinter her there for 2024 - 2026.

Volos is 300km North of Athens in the Pagasetic Gulf which is part of the Aegean Sea. This is a beautiful cruising area with lots of islands and anchorages to visit. It is not as crowded as much of Greece and sailing winds are more reliable and gentler than the raging Meltemi zone. However, with the opportunity to be onboard for up to 6 months, you could pretty much explore any part of the Eastern Med.

Transfer to Volos from Athens is either by a 3 1/2 hour bus journey from the city or shorter from the airport via a car rental. There is an airport in Volos however it is poorly serviced from Athens unfortunately.

During the sailing season it will not be necessary to return to Volos to effect crew changeover. Many islands are easily accessible by ferry or short flights to Athens.

We have a small yacht service company in Volos overseeing maintenance and care of the yacht. I can share details of the current charges, which are quite cheap compared to other locations, upon request.

We will establish a monthly maintenance and charges fund to service these costs and then regularly discuss upgrades and extraordinary costs as necessary. I estimate annual costs @$20 000, so approx $800.00 per share, per month.

The yacht is VAT unpaid and therefore needs to be "exported" out of the EU every 18 months. If you are unfamiliar with this arrangement it is very common in Europe amongst cruising sailors. Please ask if you'd like me to expand on this....

The inventory listed here is not complete, many more features and inclusions that the advert does not enable.

The listed price is a guide determined by averaging currently listed comparable yachts for sale internationally. A buyer is welcome to have a valuer/broker estimate market value for comparison. We can negotiate from there.
