One-sixth share in 2009 Seawind 1160 Deluxe "Beach House". It is Australian made, well maintained and in excellent condition.
Beach House is located on an easy-access T-head marina berth at Clontarf Marina at The Spit in Sydney's Middle Harbour. This location cannot be changed without 100% agreement of all shareholders which is not likely at all so please only respond if the location is good for you.
Monthly costs contribution is $750 per month per one-sixth share, which should cover basics of mooring fees, insurance, annual servicing, fuel, minor repairs. Any additional costs are shared shared in accordance with the shareholding percentage. The syndicate is self-managed. All fees paid go only on boat costs.
"Beach House" has all the normal features on a Seawind 1160 Deluxe which includes high quality timber fit-out, twin 29HP Yanmar diesels, self-tacking jib, harken winches (one electric), Tri-fold door, TV / DVD player, 3 double cabins, U-shaped lounge convertible to another double bed, 2 bathrooms with showers and electric toilets, dual steering stations, gas BBQ, front opening fridge, 2 freezers, gas oven and cooktop, solar panels, Raymarine instruments, self-tacking jib, all needed safety equipment for inshore and coastal cruising.
Extras include microwave, flyscreens, shade screens, Gori 3 blade folding propellers, Muir electric winch, chain counter, Rocna oversize main anchor with 60m chain, second anchor, solid Targa infills, multi-purpose spinnaker, Victron 240V power, shore power, wind generator, deck fridge, air conditioner and washing machine (both rarely used), extra house battery, autopilot with remote, Raymarine 12 inch navigation display, radar, AIS receiver, BOSE sound system, external hot/cold shower, deck wash pump.
Being a share boat, quality cutlery, crockery, cooking equipment, sheets, bedding, folding tables, extra chairs, full toolkit, fishing gear and the like are included.
The tender is a 3.1m Highfield Ultralite inflatable with 5HP Outboard, both new in recent years and in excellent condition.
The mainsail, jib were new in September 2022 together with the boom/mainsail cover. The rigging was renewed in October 2019. Antifouling and engines servicing were done in March 2024.
Seawind 1160s are recognised world-wide as strong and seaworthy, and have done many ocean crossings. With the trifold door opening up the main cabin to the rear area, the feeling of space on Seawinds is unique amongst catamaran designs. The twin helms provide safety and allow ready communication with guests. The Targa infills provide essential extra safety for mainsail sail handling. The berthing on the T-head at Clontarf Marina makes manoeuvring the boat to and from the berth very easy compared to a standard marina berth.
Resale values of sailing catamarans are strong and with new boat prices increasing, second-hand quality catamarans often increase in value further over time. Now is a good time to buy.
The syndicate has been operating since 2014, with a simple agreement between partners and a similarly simple access arrangement with access every third calendar day, with day swaps and longer access by agreement between the three partners. Berthing and maintenance contributions are as agreed between the partners, generally monthly. There are no third-party on-costs.
"Beach House" is available for inspection at Clontarf Marina by arrangement most days.
