Outlaw Boats 9.13m 2C Catamaran Just Listed

Far Side is a 9.13m aluminium catamaran launched in 2020 by Outlaw Boats in Western Australia, purpose-built for serious offshore work and currently in 2C AMSA survey for 12 passengers and 2 crew. Fresh from its 5-year out-of-water survey renewal, Far Side is in good operational condition and ready to step straight into charter or commercial service.

Outlaw Boats are known for their industry-leading durability and seaworthiness, and Far Side is a prime example of their build quality. With a proven hull design optimised for speed and comfort in offshore conditions, Far Side combines rugged construction with refined performance. Powered by twin Yamaha 425HP outboards, she cruises at 22 knots and sprints up to 35 knots. The outboards have been professionally serviced by an authorised Yamaha technician since new and currently sit at 960 hours each, offering plenty of reliable service ahead.

Fuel capacity totals 1500 litres, split across twin 750L tanks, giving Far Side the range for extended offshore trips or remote coastal runs. A 500L freshwater tank supports longer voyages, and the spacious deck layout allows for generous gear storage while maintaining clear walkaround access. The hull and deck are constructed from aluminium with a cork overlay, providing both durability and comfort underfoot.

Currently set up for fishing and cray operations in the charter industry, Far Side has just had a new 24V pot winch installed at the Outlaw yard. She runs a pot tipper compatible on both sides for safe and efficient retrieval in all conditions, with pot runners on both gunnels, similar to a pro boat. The layout is optimised for fishing, featuring a rear bait board adjacent to the pot winch, a large central working bench with ample storage underneath, fresh and saltwater deck wash, large side pockets, and heavy-duty lighting for night operations.

Onboard amenities include a stainless steel hooded Cookout BBQ in the galley, a Jabsco electric toilet, and a marine audio system for entertainment. Navigation and electronics are top-tier, featuring dual Simrad 15-inch plotters and a Furuno multibeam sounder. Power systems include a Cristec 12V/40A battery charger with shore power plug-in, three solar panels, and a Sphere charger for off-grid capability.

Safety equipment is comprehensive, with two leased 8-person life rafts, a float-free EPIRB, 15 life jackets, offshore flares, four 12V bilge pumps, and two portable fire extinguishers. Anchoring is handled by a stainless steel drum winch with dash control, ensuring secure hold in all conditions.

With its next out-of-water survey not due until 2030, Far Side has been setup by an operator that knows the importance of reliability and simplicity and is ready to start earning or adventuring, immediately.
