Constructed from strip plank cedar/epoxy below the waterline, foam/epoxy sandwich above, 'Pacific Passagemaker' was designed to take her owner and his friends to distant reef systems in comfort and safety to indulge in the owner's No1 passion, bottom fishing for the best eating fish in Australia. Red emperor, Nanigai, Coral trout, Kingfish etc but in order to do this the boat had to have the range and ocean capability to handle sudden changes in weather and sea conditions far offshore which is why she is built incredibly strong with watertight compartments and high output bilge pumping systems, economical yet powerful six cylinder 300 hp shaft drive yanmar diesels. Cruise speed 20 kts burning just 4 ltrs/nm both engines with a usable fuel capacity of 4400 ltrs, her range is 900NM.
The aft deck area is massive for entertaining and the interior is craftsmen fitted in euro beech with the en-suited (incl bathtub) owner's island bed queen stateroom amidships to port of the elevated central steering station that is equipped like a superyacht, complete with a berth to the side to rest in. There is a bathroom to stbd aft with pull out washing machine forward of which is a fully equipped galley amidships, u-shaped seating with custom lower able table to port of the galley and a east /west double cabin forward in each hull.
