Southern Star is a fine example of the popular Caribbean 45 model flybridge cruiser. Powered by the preferred Caterpillars engines she sprints up to 25 knots on a clean bottom and cruises very comfortably from 18 to 20 knots.

The Caribbean 45 is a volumous hull boasting big living areas and cabins you don't have to squeeze into. Being a two cabin, two bathroom layout, they haven't tried to jam too much into the boat.

She is very tidy and features solid teak decking to the cockpit and flybridge floor. Internally the upholstery is in top condition. Her saloon is expansive and includes a port side lounge which converts to Pullman bunk beds. The U-shaped lounge opposite also transforms for overflow bedding. Two families could sleep onboard this boat!

Large opening saloon windows provide an exquisite vista from a seated position at the dining table. She is equipped with airconditioning however her current owners say it has never been required as there is plenty of natural airflow. (Note, aircon due for service)

A helm station forward of the saloon replicates the upper helm with GPS plotters, marine radios and electronic gear shifts. This station can be really handy for some if you are short on crew - vision is excellent from here and you don't have to scale down a ladder to grab a line.

A mezzanine galley to starboard is equipped with microwave oven, ceramic twin hob cooktop and the obligatory Caribbean eutectic refrigeration. There is ample counter space to prepare a feast. The floor lifts to reveal even more convenient storage space.

An ADC electric davit system on the foredeck enables easy launch and retrieval of the Mercury rigid inflatable tender. This is powered by a 15HP Yamaha outboard.

Of course the enormous rear deck is what Caribbean are known for and Southern Star is no exception. Another great attribute of this model is the eutectic refrigeration. You'll be able to keep enough food onboard for a month at sea!
