After five years of restoration, upgrading and countless hours of work, the time has come for us to reluctantly offer Kingfisher for sale.
Kingfisher is a 1991 Cuddles 30, powered by a 48HP Yanmar diesel. She has been progressively restored and improved with the intention of creating a comfortable, practical and reliable family cruiser rather than simply giving her a cosmetic makeover.
Considerable work has been completed throughout the vessel, including the engine and running gear. The propeller has been rebuilt, shaft realigned and balanced, a new cutlass bearing fitted, PSS shaft seal installed and the anchor winch rebuilt and tested. A chain counter has also been added at the helm.
Inside, Kingfisher offers excellent accommodation and storage for a vessel of her size. She features a comfortable main berth plus additional convertible sleeping accommodation, kitchenette, dining area, TV with new aerial and DVD player, and a separate bathroom/shower with macerator toilet.
The spacious rear entertaining area is one of Kingfisher's best features, providing plenty of room for fishing, dining, cooking or simply relaxing with a drink at anchor.
A custom davit system with structural reinforcement has been designed and fitted to carry the fibreglass tender. The tender has been fitted with handrails, oars and anchor, along with a small electric motor for exploring once anchored.
Forward, mid and aft bilge pump systems provide additional protection, while ongoing maintenance has included regular hull cleaning, inspection and antifouling.
