For sale: unique displaning power catamaran hull mould designed by Peter Brady

23 boats have been built from this mould including 16 Brava 42's and 45's. The mould was then modified to increase the hulls beam and to enable boats with a variety of topside heights and sheer lines to be built.
7 semi-custom power catamarans were then built by Pacific Power Cats either from the mould or by using parts off the mould ranging from 12 to 15.2 metres in length and from 6 to 7.1m in beam. The hull shape is remarkably versatile in the styles of power catamarans that can be built from it including sports fishing boats, family coastal cruisers, long-range offshore cruisers, commercial fishing boats, patrol vessels and even a trailerable outboard powered power catamaran.
Power catamarans from this mould are always in demand and are often sold by word of mouth at premium prices as they have a reputation for being excellent sea boats and capable of making fast economical passages of over 700nm without refuelling. 3 vessels from this mould have steamed from Brisbane around the top end to Western Australia with 2 of them making the return journey as well.
There are plans drawn for a multitude of options including Survey approved models from this mould and there is a unique 13.2m sports fishing version on the drawing board with a walk-around front bedroom as a smaller sister of the 15.2m vessel nearing completion.

This hull design is a further development of the Scimitar 1010 and the Leopard Power Cats and has not been equalled or bettered in terms of fuel efficiency, range and seakeeping in its size. It features Peter's CVD (Controlled Vapour Dampening) ride control system and is still years ahead of any other production power cat design and at the moment, the mould currently has a temporary modification fitted to it for the construction of the prototype of his new AR (Air Ram) system.
The mould sections are transportable and were recently leased to a boatbuilder on the Gold Coast to build an Offshore 50 to Peters design.
The mould was heavily constructed using resins that included alumina trihydrate fillers for stability and improved cure, with engrain balsa core for stiffness and so has years of life left in it.

The hull mould including a bulbous bow mould for it can be purchased as a stand-alone item or could include the plans (some Survey Approved) for a number of designs developed for it depending on the purchaser's requirements.
Power catamarans are the fastest growing segment of the powerboat market and because it is such a proven design, this hull mould would be the perfect starting point for a new production boat with the addition of a deck mould. The mould would even be worth purchasing for a one off semi-custom boat as it allows for infused construction and negates the need for filling, fairing and painting the hull.
