Kaloa is a small steel expedition vessel equipped for extended voyaging and adventuring, designed by George Buehler, a Pacific NW designer. Launched in Quebec, Canada, in 2001, purchased unfinished in 2007, completed in British Columbia in 2008. US Documented, imported to British Columbia in 2012 (PST and GST paid), and imported into New Zealand in 2019 (Duty and GST paid). Kaloa can therefore cruise freely, or be stored long-term, in US, Canadian, or New Zealand waters. She can cruise anywhere in NZ, head N into the tropical Pacific or Australia, or be taken back to North America.

Remarks
Kaloa was purchased unfinished off of a trailer in the Port of Quebec in 2007 and shifted to BC for completion. It is a custom boat intended for cruising remote areas; the hull is 1/4" steel and the helm windows are 15mm high tensile glass. The covered walkways and large aft deck make living aboard easy in any weather.
