Alexander Marine Australia are pleased to present the Kingfisher 56 Royale Aft Cabin Flybridge Cruiser 'Suite 1' to the market as central agents.

The Kingfisher brand was a creation of Gold Coast boat builder John Vella who through many years of boat ownership had a vision to create a modern powerboat that was attractive and seaworthy, and importantly able to hold its own amongst the established Australian manufactured power boat brands. In 1995 Vella joined forces with his naval architect son-in-law Per Andersen, and Brisbane's Russell Wright from Sundown Marine, to launch the Kingfisher brand. Their point of difference in a competitive power boat market was to avoid the production-line and become master craftsmen to discerning customers. Kingfisher were highly regarded for manufacturing a quality boat that excels in hull performance offering passengers a safe and smooth ride while experiencing luxury and comfort on the water. 'Suite 1' is a fine example of these semi-custom built vessels with thoughtful features throughout.

The spacious cockpit acts as a pivot point between the aft swim platform, flybridge and main saloon. Through the installation of roll-up/down combination shade mesh & clears the raised cockpit can be a fully enclosed area and is an entertainer's dream with large high gloss teak dining table surrounded by a L-shaped cream lounge. Perched high above the waterline, the dining experience is enriched by a spectacular marine backdrop.

An additional feature for well-organised hosts is the location of the galley just three steps down from the cockpit. The U-shaped gourmet galley is absolutely stunning, decked out with high gloss cherrywood topped with granite benchtops. Galley appliances include a microwave oven, glass stove top and a full-size vertical fridge/freezer alongside plenty of storage for food and appliances - there is nothing in the culinary world that can't be created in this space. A significant feature is the large window from the galley to cockpit for convenient service of food and drinks.

Forward of the galley is the main saloon lounge area with another large high gloss teak dining table with matching coffee table set around two opposing cream-coloured lounges. The large windows all around this level invite in the natural light offsetting the beautiful teak and maintain a fresh and airy feel - note also for additional ventilation the side windows in the saloon slide open and closed. Sit back in comfort - switch on the air-conditioning or heating if you so desire - and chat away with family and friends, read peacefully or watch a movie in this spacious versatile space.

A total of six persons can be accommodated in three cabins up forward, accessed via a few steps forward of the main saloon. The VIP guest suite is located in the bow of the boat with the same cream lining and high gloss teak trimmings flowing downstairs from the main saloon. The VIP cabin features a large mirror amplifying the volume of this cabin even further and a classy touch is the teak framed portholes. There is an abundance of hanging space, cupboards and drawers for those extended periods onboard.
Guests have a choice of two midship cabins, one of which is positioned to starboard just at the bottom of the stairs which has three single bunks. Adjacent on the portside is a multi-purpose room which in its current configuration doubles as an office, with lounge chair, complete with one single bed and plenty of storage. The ships front-loading clothes washing machine is located in this cabin. The forward cabins all share a head which includes a separate shower cubicle.

Moving to the aft of 'Suite 1' is where you will find the very private master suite. This cabin occupies the full beam of the hull. At the end of the queen size walk-around bed is a beautiful gloss vanity table and mirror. The master suite has its own private head facilities featuring a separate toilet and separate shower cubicle.

The helm station offers a commanding view of the sea from the very comfortable flybridge. The captain will enjoy the use of late-model Simrad electronics including a forward-facing sonar when exploring Australia's coastline. A bow thruster enhances her manoeuvrability, and together with the latest generation Yachtcontroller Wireless Docking Remote slipping in and out of marina's will be a hassle free experience. When underway or at anchor, for the most elevated views, guests can enjoy two opposing lounges, and or there is a large day berth for two if you wish to spread out further or take a nap. The flybridge is entirely weatherproof with glazing to three sides and camper covers across the stern.

'Suite 1' is powered by Twin Volvo Penta D12 shaft drive diesel engines. Most owners will cruise the vessel at an economical 10 knots, however when called for, it's handy to know 'Suite 1' will sprint to speeds in excess of 20 knots to run ahead of weather or cross a bar. Underway the boat lifts and planes easily with minimal nose lift. Known for fuel efficiency, at 10 knots the boat uses a combined 50L of fuel per hour.

Mechanics will have a great appreciation for the spacious engine room with excellent head room. The engine room houses notable equipment including her Kohler Genset, Open Ocean Watermaker (140L/hr), and her air conditioning units.

Her inflatable RIB tender is stowed on the foredeck and is launched and retrieved with the use of a Davco davit. For convenience the tender's Honda outboard is electric trim, tilt and start. While up on the foredeck you will also note her substantial anchoring equipment including a 35kg/77lbs S/S Ultra Anchor connected to sturdy 13mm Galvanised chain.

'Suite 1' is an exceptional vessel for living aboard and long-term cruising. She was built with endurance, style and comfort in mind and has been maintained to a high standard by her passionate owner that have made continual improvements to the vessel. She is currently lying Hamilton Island and has proven to be the perfect floating apartment for exploring the Whitsundays - her next owner may wish to take continued advantage of strategic geographic location. For her waterline length the 56 Kingfisher Aft Cabin model would have to offer the most volume and separate entertaining and accommodation zones of any vessel her size.
