Alexander Marine are pleased to have AGAIN SOLD the 2011 Maritimo 56 Skylounge 'Ohana'.

'Ohana' is certainly not your average Maritimo! The 56 model offers a sporty profile when compared to the "squarer" M52 & M60 siblings - indeed 'Ohana' looks fast even when she is tied up to the dock! She was highly customized for extended cruising by her passionate first owner, and her current and second owner have further refined the vessel by conducting numerous meaningful additional upgrades.

'Ohana' has spent her life cruising the beautiful reefs and coastline of Queensland. With this intention in mind, she was built complete with a Seakeeper gyro for maximum comfort underway - this is especially relevant at long-range displacement cruising speeds.

With an LOA of 60 feet this is a fantastic owner-driver vessel for husband and wife adventurers who like to have a bit of room. 'Ohana' has the space for cruising in comfort, the style to live luxuriously on the water and the power to get you to some of the most spectacular places only accessible by boat, safely and efficiently. The Maritimo brand speaks for itself with a reputation for producing high quality offshore capable luxury motor yachts influenced by the Australian lifestyle - the perfect boat for coastal hopping and offshore cruising.

Boarding the vessel from the stern is via a spacious teak laid swim platform which is complete with removable S/S transom rails to keep guests safe - the swim platform has been optimized for deep sea fishing. Access through into the large weather protected teak laid cockpit is via walkways on both port and starboard sides. Note 'Ohana' is unique as she features a custom GRP hardtop over the cockpit to maximise protection from the elements - now that is sensible for our climate!!

For entertaining the cockpit is equipped with a stowable Weber electric BBQ and ample storage. For those who value a shipshape vessel, beneath the cockpit floor is plenty of room to stow water toys and keep fenders out of sight when not needed. A custom freezer is also located in the lazerette area which is great for long trips away from the dock.

Moving forward from the cockpit, up one step, you enter her generous saloon. Immediately to starboard is her gourmet aft galley complete with white Corian benchtops. The galley is perfectly positioned as a centralized serving area for both the cockpit and main saloon. The chef will appreciate the island servery along with the upright Liebherr fridge/freezer with pull out drawers, Miele 4 burner electric cooktop (with stainless steel pot holders) and Miele oven and grill. The cherry on top is the Miele half-size dishwasher. Time on the water is for relaxing, not doing dishes!

Opposite the galley alongside on the portside is a staircase leading to skylounge and a beautiful high gloss teak cabinet housing the ship's bar including to Waeco drinks fridge. Further forward to port is a large L shaped lounge, high gloss teak dining table, and a matching sofa opposite. This area encourages guests to put your feet up and lose yourself in the uninterrupted water views. Huge side windows keep the saloon light, bright and breezy, opening up for excellent ventilation. Her new carpet throughout feels great underfoot.

Forward of the main saloon are steps leading down to the accommodation. 'Ohana' features a three cabin, two bathroom layout. The master stateroom is positioned in the preferred midship location. A special feature of the master is the large panoramic window beside the island queen bed. Wake up to water views literally in front of your eyes! A great reminder that you are very much awake and living the dream. The master stateroom has its own bathroom with separate immaculate glass shower recess. Light pours through the overhead hatch creating a lovely open and bright feel. The master cabin has plenty of storage including a huge walk in stowage area beneath the mattress.

The VIP guest cabin is located in the bow featuring a double island bed and private access to a head shared with the third single bed stateroom. The grand kids will love the third cabin with the single berth positioned alongside another panoramic window. A linen press at the bottom of the stairs also houses her front loading clothes washing machine.

Back up to the main saloon we can then ascend the wide and safe internal stairs to the enclosed luxurious skylounge which is complete with a large weather protected private balcony. This is not your typical flybridge, this is a sky lounge and a space you are guaranteed to spend a lot of time. Fitted with a L-shaped lounge and dinette table there is the option to convert the table to yet another berth. In your private time, this will be a sanctuary for you to sit back with a coffee and book or watch a movie and forget the rest of the world for a while. Step out through the bifold doors onto the huge teak laid aft balcony equipped with a wash basin, icemaker and room for an outdoor setting. This is an outstanding entertainment area that will wow your special guests.

The helm offers great forward visibility from the ergonomic twin Maritimo helm chairs. To port there is a two-person lounge for family and friends to keep the captain company while underway. 'Ohana's' matt black dash houses an extensive late model touch screen Garmin electronics package including a camera system. When you are bottom fishing there is a dedicated Garmin screen in the cockpit to keep an eye on the structure below. Offering a repertoire of accessories to enhance boat maneuverability, 'Ohana' is fitted with Sidepower bow and stern thrusters complete with a wireless thruster remote control plus a hardwired docking controller that when backing into a berth can be used from the Skylounge balcony or lowered down into the cockpit if you are operating the boat single-handed and want to catch a line yourself.

For Maritimo owners, you will be familiar with the engine room layout as the engineering is typical of Maritimo's keep it simple philosophy. For those new to the brand, you will appreciate the clean, tidy, no-fuss setup and ease of accessibility for everyday engine room observations and maintenance.

'Ohana' is powered by shaft drive twin Volvo D13's at 900HP each and is capable of a spirited 32 knots cruising comfortably at 24 knots. While away from the dock your 240V power requirements are supplied via by her Onan generator capable of powering all of the boat's luxuries including Cruiseair air-conditioning, Idromar 160L/hour watermaker, Miele half-size dishwasher & Esatto clothes washing machine.

The engine room also houses the previously mentioned Seakeeper gyro stabilization unit. Seakeeper's computer-controlled gyroscope claims to eliminate up to 95% of boat roll! That means reduced seasickness and anxiety for seafarers who love the ocean but aren't fond of the side to side motion. The effectiveness of the Seakeeper sells itself.

Like other Maritimo's the 56 offers walk around side decks offering easy and safe movement around the boat. The foredeck is equipped with a recently upgraded ADC 500kg crane for launching and retrieving your chosen tender. The anchoring equipment includes a Muir Windlass and bulletproof 45kg/99lbs Stainless Steel Ultra Anchor.
