This remarkable long-range vessel has been exceptionally maintained and boasts an impressive design, featuring every conceivable redundancy incorporated, including dual water makers, akin to the renowned NORDHAVEN & SELENE range. With twin John Deere engines, each with approximately 1200 hours, Pacifica is capable of cruising at 8.2 knots while carrying an impressive 7,500 litres of diesel, providing a travel range of almost 3500 nautical miles. The presence of a built-in electric oil change unit for the main engines and generator ensures that servicing is clean and easy. Maneuvering is made easy with the large Side Power Bow Thruster, while Niad stabilizers, coupled with a 330-amp 12-volt cruise alternator on one engine and a 220-amp 24-volt alternator on the other, provide unlimited power and comfort. Pacifica also boasts over 1200 amps of solar power. Water reliability is guaranteed by two desalinators, one of which is 12 volts for cruising, while the other is 240 volts for use when the generator is operating. The generator itself is a 9.5 KVA Onan as a backup that has never been required.
In addition to these impressive features, Pacifica carries spares worth over $30,000, which are all catalogued alongside their precise location and type. In most cases, consumable parts for the faulty unit are also carried alongside a new pump or part. The refrigeration system is all 12 volts and includes twin fridges/freezers in the galley with an ice maker, while a day fridge for drinks is located on the flybridge, and twin freezers are also situated on the flybridge. The vessel can comfortably carry up to three months' worth of supplies onboard.
Accommodation on board Pacifica is comprised of a master cabin and twin bunk cabin forward, with a queen and quarter berth cabin aft, all of which are air-conditioned. The toilet and bathroom are separate, and the galley boasts a large 4-burner gas stove with oven, twin sinks, Corian tops throughout, and abundant easy-access storage. The saloon, located adjacent to the galley, incorporates separate stereo entertainment and a television with Sat TV, with usual streaming channels. Internet access is via Starlink (satellite) and twin wireless modems modified to take any SIM card.
The pilot house is spacious with an electric helm chair and easy access to major navigational and communication aids. Additional seating and a table are available for guests. Navigation is via Raymarine dual Axiom touch screens. Access to Spotify is now available to pipe music throughout the boat.
The vessel is equipped with three built-in VHF radios and a waterproof VHF for the tender. The tender is a 4-meter Caribe RIB with a 30-hp near-new Suzuki electric start four-stroke outboard. The RIB features full navigation with Side View Sonar, while the large ADC electric hydraulic crane with slew makes launching and retrieval of the tender a one-person operation.
The flybridge includes another helm, seating, day fridge, freezers, storage, BBQ, tender, crane, and Flopper Stoppers for extra stability when anchoring in untidy seas. The flybridge can be accessed either via the pilot house or the rear stairs from the cockpit. The cockpit has under-cover seating plus a table and sink, deck shower, and retractable salt or freshwater hose and accesses companionways on both sides joining Portuguese bridge fwd. Dockside access is from both port and starboard doors opening slightly above pontoon height.
Ground tackle is comprised of a stainless steel Sacra anchor and 100 m of 1/2 inch gal chain, ensuring that once anchored, the vessel will not drag. The vessel is equipped with an automatic communication system that sends a text message in the event of power loss, activation of a bilge alarm or smoke detector, or when any of the fridges are outside a set temperature range. A comprehensive history, maintenance, service, and operational manual has been produced for Pacifica.
