REVELATION is hull number two of the highly regarded Swordsman 30, originally commissioned by an accomplished yachtsman as a refined Solent weekender and sporting run-about. Now offered for sale by her third careful owner, she presents in excellent order, having benefited from regular servicing by the engine manufacturers main agent and ongoing maintenance carried out by the original builders engineer.

Significantly, REVELATION was used during the trials programme prior to the Swordsman 30 being awarded Traditional Boat of the Year 2007, a testament to both her pedigree and performance. Based upon Alan Burnards legendary Fairey Spearfish deep-V hull, this modern interpretation delivers a notably drier, quieter and more capable ride than the original, enhanced further by an uprated Iveco 440hp diesel and Hamilton waterjet drive.

Superbly equipped for coastal cruising and long weekends, she comfortably sleeps four, with a generous cockpit ideal for entertaining. A bow thruster, diesel heating, electric windlass and full cockpit enclosure make her equally well suited to extended seasons afloat. Lightly used and privately owned, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the finest examples of this iconic British design.

Brokers Comments

REVELATION represents a rare opportunity to acquire an early, highly specified example of the Swordsman 30, a modern classic with impeccable pedigree. Lightly used, superbly maintained and thoughtfully upgraded, she is an exceptional coastal cruiser with genuine heritage appeal.

Fairey Marine and Swordsman Marine
"The Legend Rekindled"

The most sought-after power boat of the 1960s was undoubtedly the Fairey Boat. A list of owners sounds like a who's who of one of the most exciting and innovative decades of British design; Sir Max and Lady Violet Aitken, Tommy Sopwith, actress Deborah Kerr, band-leader Billy Cotton and many others all owned at least one and a number of Fairey boats featured in the James Bond film "From Russia With Love".

Fairey boats combined comfort with spacious accommodation; a renowned seaworthiness with handling qualities second to none; and delivered performance, courtesy of the deep-V planing hull, such that the cruiser classes of numerous Cowes-Torquay and London-Monte Carlo races were successfully campaigned by Fairey boats.

Fairey Marine's designer was Alan Burnard, and today his proven hull design from the Fairey Spearfish forms the basis of the Swordsman 30.
