A celebrated Westcoaster 70 and a formidable sports fisher, MEGISTI SPIRIT was crafted in Perth in 2008 and has only had 3 owners since new.

Built by Westcoaster Boats in Perth in 2008, MEGISTI SPIRIT is a robust game boat designed for serious offshore performance. Constructed with a GRP hull and superstructure, she is renowned for strength and durability, with a reputation for handling the challenging conditions of Far North Queensland and Papua New Guinea waters. Powered by twin Volvo Penta TAMD 163P-A diesel engines rated at 770 hp and equipped with VeemStar propellers, she cruises efficiently at 17 knots with a top speed of 21 knots. Included in the sale are three propeller sets, to switch between fuel-sipping long-range cruising or high-speed offshore runs -- perfect for serious game fishing. Her 6,000-litre fuel capacity provides exceptional range and self-sufficiency for extended cruising.

MEGISTI SPIRIT has been meticulously maintained both above and below the waterline. Antifouling was completed, and a diver-based cleaning program ensures the hull remains in excellent condition. Key systems have been regularly serviced and are fully operational, including bow and stern thrusters, trim tabs, rudders, propellers, shafts, cutless bearings, shaft seals, through-hulls, seacocks, underwater transducers, and lights. The engine room is thoughtfully laid out for practical access to main engines, generators, and supporting systems, keeping living areas separate from mechanical spaces.

Accommodation is designed with both comfort and functionality in mind. MEGISTI SPIRIT sleeps eight guests across four cabins, including a master suite with a private ensuite. The interior has been carefully refitted and maintained, featuring high-gloss timber, velour and leather linings, carpeted cabins, and vinyl in wet areas. The main deck saloon and galley offer spacious living areas, while the upper wheelhouse provides excellent operational control and visibility.

The exterior is perfectly suited for both serious game fishing and entertaining. The foredeck has secure cradles for two jet skis or a tender, supported by a dedicated crane/davit. The teak aft deck features a custom-built game fishing chair that can be replaced with a 12-seat teak table for social gatherings, alongside a bar, BBQ, icemaker, bar fridge, and deck refrigeration. Stainless steel outriggers, a side gantry for weighing fish, deck wash systems, shore power connections, and remote anchoring controls enhance her offshore fishing capability. Wide side decks with stainless steel handrails, multiple Lewmar hatches, and aluminium-framed scuttles provide safe and practical access throughout.

Electronics were progressively upgraded between 2022-2024, with both Raymarine and Garmin systems integrated to provide redundancy and multi-brand capability for offshore use.

Typical with a vessel like this, there has been in excess of $250,000 spent maintaining this vessel between 2023 to 2025.

MEGISTI SPIRIT is a vessel that seamlessly combines offshore performance, fishing capability, and guest comfort. Ready for long-range cruising, serious game fishing, or entertaining in style, she offers a proven and reliable platform for exploring Far North Queensland and beyond.
