Opportunity knocks here with the Westwind 42 Fly Bridge, a project waiting to be completed.

One mans dream has come to an end and now waits for the next generation of boating enthusiasts to pick up the reigns and complete the project. The current owner has done much of what he had in mind for the boat but with lifes direction changing it is time to move the her along as Reality Bites !

She has had a colourful life between Mandurah and Karratha and many locations in between with a trip to Bali once planned but never undertaken.

Westwind boats built by Geraldton Boat builders so there is some pedigree in this hull.

There is work to be done but the bones of the boat are solid, the engine is fantastic and the internal structure ready to take the final touches.

She drives very nicely with a responsive hand at the helm. I cant fault the way she handles and with the engineering that has been undertaken I cant seem to fault the quality of the hull. Our short trip out today was a pleaure and very different to what we were expecting ! Its nice to still have some surprises in this industry after so long.

* Full engine rebuild by Bell engines in about 2018,133 hours since rebuild and serviced at the 100 hour mark
* GRP foam core decking installed to Cockpit and saloon for reduced weight
* Rewired with soldered joints
* Colour coded wiring
* Joy stick controls helm and fly bridge
* Furuno Nav net system installed
* Hydraulic steering and rudder
* Compressed air driven water system, no noisy pumps running
* Holding tank fitted but not yet plumbed
* Hull strakes added and additional glassing to hull
* Hull faired above water line for great finish
* Water tanks replaced
* Fuel tanks removed and overhauled
* HWS installed, not plumbed
* Head compartment installed, requires completion
* Swim platform extended


As stated this is one mans dream, unfortunately after 25 years of ownership the project although started will not be completed.
