Northern NSW based shipbuilders Bill and Bob York were pioneers of Australian boat building, producing custom built charter yachts, trawlers, dredges, and patrol boats built to strict Australian Ship Building Board specifications. The brothers extensive experience is clearly demonstrated in an impressive portfolio of vessels they launched with the York 88 being one of their finest creations.

Inspecting the York 88 from the dock, there is no mistake that she has been built by a shipyard influenced by high level naval architecture principles. The vessel boasts a distinct exterior design, illustrated by sleek lines and sharp angles that are visually appealing over her three deck levels. Her entire hull and superstructure is crafted from robust marine grade Aluminium. Her brand-new interior features a fresh elegance and practicality, perfect for tropical island living. Her ample beam provides lots of precious interior volume.

Starting at the stern is a spacious teak-laid fold down swim platform which offers plenty of room to create your own Beach Club, which then seamlessly merges into the generous teak-laid fishing cockpit. Her new owner will enjoy lazing back on a deck chair right by the water while guests enjoy the latest aquatic toys you have on board.

From the fishing cockpit, stairs on both sides lead up to the weather protected teak-laid cockpit. This zone of the vessel is an entertainer's paradise! There is a generous amount of seating courtesy of the forward facing fixed aft bench seat complete with new exterior upholstery which spans the entire beam of the cockpit set around two large meganite dining tables. There is ample space to add additional aft facing deck chairs to seat more than a cricket team and still have room for stand-up cocktail-style entertaining when the party is in full swing. Additionally, as accessed off the port side deck, there is a day head providing added convenience for guests enjoying the outdoor ambiance and or for those that haven't completely dried off from a swim.

The cockpit is equipped with a fully functional wet bar, complete with a sink, Schmick 274L two-door beverage fridge, and a Hoshizaki ice maker. The wet bar is strategically positioned below a large hopper window. When open, the window seamlessly connects the salon area to the outdoor entertainment zone. As previously mentioned the flybridge boat deck overhang offers protection for all-weather entertaining in the luxurious cockpit and note this space could be enclosed with mesh screens or clears depending upon the next owners personal preference.

The saloon features a spacious and contemporary design, accessed through a large bifold door that opens up from the cockpit - please note the cockpit and entire salon area is all on the same level which is fabulous. The integrated open plan design promotes the lightness of this beautiful yacht further enhanced by the abundance of natural light through the oversized saloon windows, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The open plan arrangement allows the saloon to flow forward through to the starboard positioned dining area for those more formal dining occasions onboard. Wherever you are on this main level you are gifted with breathtaking panoramic views. A watertight door is positioned to starboard opposite the galley and forward of the formal dining area for easy access out on the side deck, and for some natural ventilation when fresh air is called for.

The gourmet galley can be found forward on the saloon level to port, adjacent to the formal dining area. This well-appointed all-new galley is designed to provide the comforts of home and is sure to impress even the most seasoned chef. With a Staron island bench as its centrepiece, the galley is equipped with brand new appliances, including a LG 530L French door fridge/freezer, a LG dishwasher, a Bosch oven, a Bosch four burner cooktop, and a Sharp Convection Inverter microwave. Ample counter space on either side of the double sink is accentuated by large windows, allowing for plenty of natural light. A breakfast bar, complete with four stools, offers a cosy spot to enjoy meals while overlooking the galley. The saloon provides multiple access points to the ship's accommodation below, the captain's bridge above, and the yacht's exterior decks. The accommodation layout on the York 88 features three midship guest cabins and an additional three forward cabins in case of an overflow of guests or if you are operating this vessel with crew. A LED lit staircase, located on the port side midships of the saloon, leads down to the midship guest staterooms. The Owner's Suite spans the entire beam of the boat and features a luxurious queen-sized bed with an impressive mirrored headboard; the perfect space to laze back and watch a movie in the privacy of your cabin on the wall-mounted Samsung 43" TV. This cabin exudes elegance and charm, with flawless teak and cream accents throughout the stateroom. The Owner's bathroom boasts a generously sized shower with bench seat, enclosed by a large frameless glass shower screen. The vanity surfaces, crafted from Staron, are adorned with mirrors and bathed in natural light, creating an even more spacious atmosphere. A thoughtful feature is the extensive range of storage not only in the master suite but throughout the entire yacht.

In this same area are two additional midship guest staterooms both equipped with double beds, their own private ensuites and wall-mounted Samsung 33" TVs. Each cabin has their own bathroom presented to the same high standard of the master suite. The primary ships guest accommodation is positioned midship, supporting a good night's sleep regardless of the conditions outside. During the day the cabins are bathed in natural light courtesy of the generously sized portholes which can also provide ample ventilation. And if that's not enough, don't forget about the benefit of air conditioning to ensure your comfort throughout the vessel, no matter the weather outside. When the sun goes down and the lights are turned on, they create a relaxed and peaceful ambience.

Forward of the main saloon leads to another set of stairs that take you down to the forward accommodation. Up in the bow a crew cabin offers two single berths, along with a separate bathroom that includes a wet head. This area features a full-sized laundry housing a stacked Electrolux Ultimate Care 300 Dryer and Hisense 7.5kg clothes washing machine. A little aft of the bow crew cabin are two mirrored twin cabins featuring a double bed and a private ensuite for each - these cabins are well appointed and would be suitable for overflow guest accommodation or additional crew cabins at the discretion of her next owner. The forward accommodation is well separated from the midship staterooms ensuring privacy for all.

Back up in the main saloon, midship and to starboard, you will notice a modern white spiral staircase trimmed with a polished stainless-steel railing that leads up to the yacht's Skylounge & helm station. This space has been designed with both practicality and comfort in mind. For the ship's esteemed captain, there is exceptional visibility beyond the durable ocean-resistant pilothouse glazing.

The centreline helm station is equipped with all new Triple Garmin 20" 8000 Series MFD to access the comprehensive Garmin suite of navigation electronics. From the helm station, the captain always possesses a comprehensive overview of the ship's operations, monitoring the vital signs of the boat's engines and critical equipment from the helm. She is Naiad fin stabilised while underway for maximum guest comfort. Her bow and stern thruster controls are comfortably positioned for the captain to maximise manoeuvrability. Enhancing ease of operation, she is equipped with a new Dockmate Twist wireless docking remote ensuring precise and convenient docking maneuvers.

Overseeing the yacht's controls is a new helm chair that is both comfortable and fully adjustable. Positioned at a higher level, it allows the captain to minimise the need for leaning forward, ensuring maximum comfort and reducing strain on his or her neck and back. The bridge has been meticulously designed to cater to the captain's needs during a journey. It includes a compact L-shaped dinette for meals, a 112L bar fridge to keep refreshments cold, and a raised lounge area behind the helm chair. This considerate layout ensures that the captain has everything conveniently within reach while underway. There is a day head on the Skylounge level which will be welcome news to the captain.

The captain has access through dual pilothouse doors out on both the port or starboard side decks making it a breeze to clean all four sides of the Skylounge glazing. Additionally, at the aft of the Skylounge, a rear door provides access out onto the fabulous boat deck entertainment space. Guests will be thrilled with the breathtaking elevated views during the day and the mesmerising starry skies at night. Further aft again is the tender storage area, which is equipped with a custom hydraulic davit that can be easily operated to launch the mothership's tender and other water toys.

The vessel design includes practical walk-around decks on the saloon and Skylounge level. The beautifully laid teak decking flows all the way through from the bow to the cockpit and the swim platform. The partially covered side decks are generously wide and complemented by high stainless-steel handrails ensuring safety and comfort walking around the boat. At the bow are dual kedge anchors connected to a Maxwell hydraulic horizontal windlass.

Access to the engine room is via the water tight door off the port side deck. Ladder access takes you down to the heart and soul of the vessel. The layout has been thoughtfully designed to provide easy access to the essential systems. This superyacht is powered by Twin Detroit 12V-92TA engines, allowing for a comfortable cruising speed of 10-12 knots and a maximum speed of 18 knots.
