VendeeX is a spectacular blue-water cruiser / high performance racer catamaran that presents an unmissable opportunity for the cruising couple who want exhilarating speed combined with safety and comfort.

Designed by Crowther and built by Hart Marine as an ocean racer, VendeeX's all carbon-fibre composite construction means she is super strong but only weighs 7.5 tonnes, contributing to her awesome performance. This vessel would cost millions of dollars to replicate today.

VendeeX has been extensively renovated and refurbished in 2023/2024. The list of upgrades, additions and improvements is staggering. Anything that can be improved or replaced has been done. Recent major improvements include new Allyacht Spars mast and rigging, new steering system with carbon McConaghy steering wheels, carbon davits, furling staysail and genoa, trampolines, brand new electrics, 2.8Kw of solar charging and 600Ah of Victron lithium house batteries and a brand-new bow thruster with remote control, making docking and handling a breeze.

Anchoring is easily managed from the cockpit using the auto-anchor control system in conjunction with a Muir winch and new Manson Boss 45Kg anchor with 70m of new chain. She is powered by two recently fully serviced and rewired Yanmar 30hp diesel engines.

VendeeX also boasts a completely new interior, with a custom-built galley featuring brand new appliances, including Vitrifrigo two drawer fridge/freezer and Brass Monkey two cabinet fridge/freezer. Other additions include Starlink internet, a new HD TV and a 20l/hr Shenker watermaker.

She is set up for easy and safe shorthanded sailing, either solo or by a couple. Fast and relaxing off-wind cruising speeds can be achieved using the genoa only, but if you want to go faster, just put up the main, and leave almost every other boat in your wake!

The redesigned cockpit with new instrument panel provides a protected and comfortable dual helming position with a large living & entertaining area with new teak table and reinforced carbon-fibre bimini that will support two people when reefing the main.

The saloon boasts 6-foot headroom and a 4-6 seat table that converts to a double bed. There are two more double cabins and plenty of storage in the central pod.
