Launched in late 2016, the Gunboat 78 MY CAT is a state-of-the-art 77'78 (23.77m) sailing catamaran built for high speed and elite performance while maintaining all the creature comforts of a luxury yacht. She can reach speeds of up to 30 knots thanks to her lightweight construction in carbon fiber and full carbon rig.

Straight from the drawing boards of Nigel Irens Designs, her striking profile makes her one of the most stand-out catamarans on the water today. MY CAT's reverse bows, aggressive chine and sheer-line result in a beautiful catamaran, further complimented by her huge bowsprit forward and a metallic blue paint job.
Impressively, MY CAT has been designed with hydraulically retractable daggerboards and rudders. These carbon foils improve performance and stability, making her incredibly seaworthy and effortlessly quick. When fully down, her draft reaches a depth of 3.35 meters but when up, her draft is only 1.3 meters, allowing access to even the shallowest bays and harbors.
MY CAT's exterior deck spaces are well maintained and perfect for watching the ocean glide by, from her completely shaded aft deck to her foredeck with trampolines. Aft, guests will find the extended carbon coach-roof adequate protection from the weather, but should elements dictate, there are removable plasti-glass side panels that can provide additional protection. To port, the extendable carbon dining table can seat up to 10, while the lounging area to starboard is one of the most popular spots onboard to relax.
In addition, both of MY CAT's transoms have been extended to create a larger area for swimmers entering and leaving the water as well as safer boarding. The dive bottles are arms reach away along with a dive compressor in the aft deck locker. Her tender is easily launched from two carbon davits between the two hulls.
Though designed for high performance and ocean crossings, MY CAT's interior spaces have kept luxury living in mind. The spacious salon is bright and open with 360-degree panoramic views connecting guests to the ocean and located to starboard is a dining table comfortably sitting eight. Located centrally and forward is the helm station, affording good views of the jib tell-tales and the main sail trim above through an electrically sliding hatch. Comfortable lounging sofas aft and to port surround a 50" flatscreen television aft of the helm station. A low coffee table opens to a well-stocked bar and wine fridge.
MY CAT can comfortably accommodate eight guests across four cabins with en-suites, with additional berths for up to three crew. Her owner's cabin is located port-side aft with a large double bed athwartships and en-suite. Her three guest cabins include a VIP cabin starboard aft with large double bed, also athwartships; a double mid-ships to port with bunk fore-aft, and two twin guest cabins forward port with bunks.
As the only Gunboat 78 in existence, MY CAT is an ideal world-cruiser built for high performance, stability and total comfort. She would be equally perfect for exploring the world's oceans or collecting silverware on the international regatta circuit.
