Built by Marten Marine NZ in 1984 this safe and comfortable boat is a hood liner model with pop-top. The boat has been modified for cruising so that two people can easily handle it sailing or motoring. The engine (2012 9.8hp extra long shaft Tohatsu) is fitted with a charging coil and electric/manual start and is mounted on the transom which has had very solid internal reinforcement applied. The original engine bay has been covered in with West system, epoxy soaked ply and fibreglass. This makes for a full length self draining cockpit. This has made the the boat MUCH more manageable when manoeuvring, particularly in shallow water or when reversing. A new S/S rudder box and tiller have been fitted to suit the "dagger" rudder blade. The keel wire has been replaced with 6mm Dyneema (2022) and the retrieval winch wire with 6mm Dyneema in 2024.
