Due to change of circumstances
He already regrets that never again will he be able to find such a high-performance sailboat that is truly 'trailer-able' and can sail at 14 knots in 18 Knot winds for under $25K, complete with an excellent sail wardrobe and trailer.
If you're unfamiliar with the Duncanson PS8 (Phuket Sports 8) and its pedigree. Only six of these high-performance keel sailboats were ever made, currently the sister ships are located all over the globe.

The Duncanson PS8 is renowned for its speed and exhilarating performance.
Manufactured in 2003, this sports boat was designed and CNC cut in Australia, then assembled in Thailand for a "one design" racing series in Phuket... Hence it's often referred to as the Phuket PS8.
This high-performance racer is a front of fleet boat and will do 18 knots plus in the right winds.
Complete with a large sail wardrobe, carbon rig with double spreader mast and a long carbon retracting and articulating bowsprit, this PS8 can be rigged to extract maximum speed from every knot of wind.
Acceleration is breathtaking.
No wonder, featuring a 1.8mm lifting keel with 150kg of ballast and super light construction this Duncanson PS8 (Phuket Sport 8) weighs only 994kg and can perform in the lightest of wind.
And when the wind gets up, the folding wing design will turbo charge the thrills !

To enhance the ease of ownership, with the keel raised and the wings retracted this Phuket Sports PS8 fits neatly onto her double axle road trailer for towing to race events.
At only 2.4m wide this PS8 even fits into a sea container if you want to take your boat further afield.
