For sale is Heart Throb, a 6m trailer sailer. A perfect option as an entry level or beginners boat or as a great option for the Old Salt downsizing.

Easy to handle solo and versatile enough to accommodate the family for a day sail or even an overnight or two. There are lots of under-bunk storage lockers and space to add a chemical toilet. There are two lazarettes to keep the self-draining cockpit tidy. The pop-top adds headroom to the cabin at anchor and the table folds away when not in use.

The trailer can cantilever to launch and retrieve in shallow water. The lights are removable thus avoiding issues with water ingress. The axle, hubs, hangers and leaf springs have recently all been replaced for new. There are no brakes to add complexity as the trailer rego includes a dispensation provided the tow vehicle mass is greater than 1200kg; ie can be towed by the family car.

The Sonata 6 is simple and forgiving enough for the beginner or with a little bit of deck hardware more complex options like a Cunningham, head sail furler or down haul could be added. The rigging already includes a top haul, spinnaker halyard, spinnaker sheaves and spinnaker pole.

Ground tackle is a fluke style anchor with 5.2m galvanised chain scope and 5.3m nylon rode.

The Johnson 8hp 2-stroke outboard hangs on a new adjustable mount. Easy to start and runs well.

A mooring hook, life ring, fire extinguisher, metho stove and extra running rigging are also included in the sale.

There is also a 27MHz radio and antenna. The radio turns on and crackles but serviceability is not guaranteed. All items of the sale are sold on an AS IS basis.
