Stessco Bowrider 520 Just Listed

John Crawford Marine has just listed yet another "JCM Certified" family sports bowrider, 90 hour old, freshly workshop serviced Stessco 520 Bowrider.

Powered by a Yamaha 115Hp 4 stroke, serviced in November 2024 by our local Yamaha dealer and trailered on a upgraded Alloy I Beam Dunbier ACL5.3CHD braked trailer.
Stessco have made a stylish and very practical, plate sided aluminium bow rider that looks stunning with its blue hull and sports profile. Many bow riders we see of this size have questionable horsepower, some would say almost underpowered. Not this rig!

At the time of order, a Yamaha 115Hp EFI four stroke was fitted, delivering exceptional power for the water sports enthusiast or if boating with 5 adults aboard.

When taking the photos, the boat was beside a competitor's bowrider of similar length, it soon become glaringly apparent the "volume and size" of this Stessco with it's high internal freeboard and generous beam made the other boat look rather "small" by comparison. All adding up to better stability at rest and if young ones are aboard, they are literally "in the" boat.

The four stroke Yamaha 115hp has been both mechanically tested and had its computer diagnostic report completed by our workshop, confirming its condition and low 90 hours use. Further upgraded with a Ultraflex hydraulic steering system which is needed when the driver is towing water skiers all day..... And yes a ski pole is fitted as pictured!

On the Water

Bow riders are a wonderful all-rounder boating design and this one has been built with a walk-through transom and well designed boarding ladder. A great feature to have as after a swim, ski or snorkel, reboarding is easy for young and the old.

Seating is also offered from bow to stern with a very comfortable bow lounge including the infill cushions, a ¾ rear lounge and 2 comfortable bolstered seats midship, offering seating for 6 in inshore waters. Overhead protection from the sun is offered by the large bimini top that also easily folds down when being towed or stored in the bimini sock.
Storage is found throughout the boat, bow to stern - up under the bow cushions, side pockets and under the rear lounge, under the floor - plenty of places to store the day's gear - towels, safety equipment and fishing gear.

The helm is comfortable for us tallies, with everything in arms reach and a comfortable skipper's and second mates chair. The sounder/GPS unit is a genuine Yamaha Command Link CL& Touch MFD screen unit. Mapping is included and runs a Garmin Blue Chart g2 Vision and is linked to a Garmin transducer to help finding fish and your location a simple task indeed!
