Sapphire is a BayRaider 17, designed by Swallow Yachts and built by Denman Marine in Kettering, Tasmania. Only a handful of these highly praised and tightly held boats have been made.

Built in 2012 to the highest of standards featuring a composite epoxy ply hull with teak trimmings, water ballast, a gunter yawl rig by Storm Bay Sails (with additional near new storm main and storm jib by Walker Sails), self tacking club boom on furling headsail, celery pine and carbon spars, quality deck fittings, new dyneema standing rigging and spectra halyards, new mainsheet blocks, near new Tohatsu 3.5hp fourstroke, canvas dodger, excellent Dunbier trailer with custom stone guards and lots more.

She can be rigged and launched in under 10 minutes and sailed with or without water ballast, making her a slippery planing dinghy or capable coastal cruiser. Sapphire has featured in two Australian Wooden Boat Festivals and ready for the next Tawe Nunnugah Raid.
